Pernaval is a modern supplementary foodstuff for horses. It contains a particularly high amount of Glycosaminoglycans which stabilise and generate the connective tissue structures such as joint cartilage, ligaments, tendons, discs and synovial fluid.

Pernaval has been sold in Switzerland and some other European countries for a number of years. It has now been trialled here in the UK for more than six months with very positive results.

*A double blind trial was carried out at the Animal Science faculty in the ludwig-Maximillians University, Munich in 2001. It involved 30 horses all showing symptoms of chronic degenerative joint disease who were trialled for six months. The control group received Pernaval each day. Results of the treatment were evaluated within the parameters of clinical lameness and X-ray examinations. All the horses showed significant improvements - 47% showed no more signs of lameness - 23% had clinically improved - 30% showed improvement in movement.

Pernaval has been tested and passed as safe to use by HFL's Sports Nutritional Supplement Screen for banned substances. HFL is a WADA accredited laboratory and tests feeds and supplements for manufacturers, the UK Jockey Club and the National Greyhound Racing Club and they are also UKAS ISO 17025 accredited for Sports Nutritional product screening.
